1901 Buena Vista Drive Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, the seventh and largest of the growing collection of popular Disney ownership properties, celebrated it’s grand opening in May 2004. The “health-history-horses” theme for the resort draws on the property’s many amenities and features which were inspired in large measure by its namesake town in New York. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa lies just across the lake from the magical metropolis of Downtown Disney. From its colorful Victorian architecture to the influence of horse racing, this lakeside community recaptures the heyday of upstate New York country retreats in the late 1800s. The resort features a full-service spa, a neighborhood eatery and market, a spectacular rockwork theme pool with slide, recreation, water-shuttle service to Downtown Disney and convenient access to Disney’s Lake Buena Vista golf course Resort accommodations came on line with 184 units debuting in 2004. The neighborhood of 12 residential-style buildings will be comprised of 552-units upon completion in early 2005, making it the largest Disney Vacation Club resort to date. Here the comforts of home surround guests, including full kitchens and living rooms in the one-, two- and three-bedroom villa units, all with either a water, garden or golf course view “With this unique property, we were able to blend a great setting in the heart of the Walt Disney World Resort with the rich heritage of an iconic American town,” said Jim Lewis, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Vacation Development, Inc., operators of Disney Vacation Club. “It’s very exciting to see our vision come to life, and I am confident this latest addition to our Disney resort collection will be a big success.” Guests of The Spa at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa can choose from a wide array of specialty skin and body care treatments designed to relax, renew and reinvigorate the body.
